Why go to Roraima?

Roraima is situated in the border triangle Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia and the Pemon Indians also name it “ peacock blue “, “ fertile”, “ big. In 1912 English scientist named the nature and the endemic species as the lost world and even today the name is used for the Roraima. The 6- days Roraima trekking tour is a very adventurous tour, just the right thing for trekking fans with 80% endemic life on the highest flat summit mount of the world. The Roraima trekking is besides Canaima and the Orinoco delta one of the most beautiful tours in Venezuela.

Our tour Roraima trekking 6 days / 5 nights

Day 1 - Drive to Paraitepuy / Roraima
From Santa Elena you go by jeep straight to Paraitepuy over 1000m high. From Paraitepuy on hikes about 4 hours until you reach camp Kukenan. 2 river crossing are on our agenda. The stones are occasionally very slippery and socks are highly recommended. At camp at over 1000m a warm dinner will be served.
Day 2 - Base camp / Roraima
After refreshment in the morning the hike to the base camp at 1870m starts. Past orchids and carnivorous plants, the jungle starts right at camp and is offering numerous motives for pictures. There will be a lunch on our way and for dinner there will be served warm food.
Day 3 - High plateau/ Roraima
Until the wall of Roraima it becomes very steep and afterwards it will be another 2 hours until we reach the high plateau. The high plateau is situated at a height of 2800m. The trek goes past bizarre stone formations that have existed for thousands of years. Having arrived at the top one can have a look at a fossilized dragon head and a fossilized turtle! A lighte lunch will be served at camp. The afternoon dedicated to the exploration of the high plateau. A warm dinner will be prepared freshly at camp.
Day 4 - Exploration of the high plateau
After breakfast there will be time to explore the high plateau of the Roraima. The Roraima has to offer many crystals and numerous kinds of rocks which will captivate you. A fanastic day with lunch on the way and dinner at camp.
Day 5 - Descent Roraima
After a refreshment in the morning a 7 hours long marsh is on our schedule, downhill which will end at camp at the river Tök. Over 3 hours one has to surmount heavy slope and again cross the two rivers. Lunch will be eaten on our way. A refreshment with panorama view on the Kukenan and Roraima is ideal to take some more pictures. Dinner and accommodation at camp.
Day 6 - Transfer back to Santa Elena
After breakfast there will be time to explore the high plateau of the Roraima. The Roraima has to offer many crystals and numerous kinds of rocks which will captivate you. A fanastic day with lunch on the way and dinner at camp.
